Amanda Cosgrove is an abstract artist from Hertfordshire, specialising in textured acrylic paintings usually on canvas or board. She tends to work quickly and spontaneously, playing with colour and texture and works extensively with palette knives…rarely a paint brush!

Beyond the canvas, she has always been involved in the arts in one way or another. Whether she was dancing, drumming in a band (badly!), running a musical theatre company or watching her son Alex (an actor) enjoy his career, the creative juices have always been flowing!

Amanda is a resident artist at The Collective Art Gallery, St. Albans for 2025/26, and her painting ’Broken’ was recently featured in ‘House and Garden’ magazine. (April 2025).
