LIZ BLACK
Hertfordshire-based contemporary visual artist, Liz Black, is recognised for her vibrant use of colour and blending of traditional and digital mediums. She followed her desire for a creative life by studying Fine Arts at the University of Hertfordshire, achieving first class honours in both her BA and MA studies. During this time, she refined her skills in painting, sculpture, and digital art, igniting a passion for modernist abstraction.
Liz has dedicated over a decade to cultivating her creative practice and establishing herself as a professional artist. Liz’s work is characterised by its spatial depth and technical precision. She draws inspiration from the everyday, using three-dimensional sculptural forms to investigate two-dimensional compositions that address the elements of spatiality, line, form and colour. She translates these into captivating and joyful pieces that challenge and engage the viewer. Her distinctive style combines traditional drawing with the precision of digital graphics, offering a one-of-a-kind visual journey.
