British Tapestry Group – Eastern Region
A chance to see an exciting translation of the Fenlands, a naturally marshy region of east England, capturing its atmosphere, colours and imagery.
This is the first exhibition of works of hand-woven tapestries, created using traditional techniques in a modern context, by this newly formed regional group of members of The British Tapestry Group, which celebrates its 20th Anniversary this year.
In addition to the Fenlands exhibition of works in the Main Courtyard Gallery, a smaller exhibition of tapestries demonstrating the diversity and skills of the artist weavers can be seen in the Stables Gallery.
