Animation Tutor

For our Children’s Little Screen Club and Animation Classes

EXCITING TEACHING OPPORTUNITY IN COMMUNITY ART CENTRE, HERTFORD

Know your Morph from your Fantastic Mr Fox?

If you have the skills to make everyday objects come to life then Courtyard Arts needs you. We’re looking for an enthusiastic, creative new Animation Tutor to mould the minds of young animators whilst moulding some plasticine figures along the way.  All you need is a basic knowledge of Stop Motion Animation and filming techniques, combined with your creative juices and a smart phone, and you’re all set to become the next member of the Courtyard Arts team.

We are looking for a permanent tutor to teach our Animation and Little Screen Club sessions on Saturdays during school term times for children aged 8 to 16.

Ideally you will have some experience of working with children, however this could be a fantastic opportunity for a student currently studying, or recently graduated from a media/animation degree, to gain some teaching experience. Enthusiasm, creativity and an ability to engage with young people are the qualities we’re looking for. Get in touch now for an informal chat about the role.

Courtyard Arts Centre was founded in 1996 with the mission “to provide a launch pad for all members of the community to achieve their artistic potential”.  We are a community arts centre in Hertford offering cultural and educational activity alongside a contemporary gallery.  In addition to our 35 weekly classes, we have a small gift shop, and two artists’ studios.  We also run a programme of Outreach work in the community. A self-funded charity, with a small team of staff and tutors, we are supported by over 40 volunteers.
