Connie Flynn

1st – 12th September 2015, Courtyard Arts Gallery

This exhibition consists of a collection of constructed, embellished cloth and a variety of textile techniques explored to make aprons as a form of decoration, function and identity.

The apron is a widely recognisable object, used in a variety of cross cultural and gendered contexts. This exhibition features a selection of contemporary aprons which Connie has created in responses to the traditional apron, blending quality craftsmanship with tales of social and cultural history.
