Enjoy 2 x 2 hour long sessions, with a 30 minute break and 30 mins at the end to view the work created. For all abilities from beginners to experienced artists and suited to 16+ students looking to develop their portfolios for further study. A friendly, lively and relaxed workshop with guidance, support and advice always on hand.
Students will develop an understanding of drawing the figure through a variety of exercises, looking at composition, form, line, tone, scale and proportion. Challenging elements including foreshortening are tackled through measurement and exploring negative space.
Experience
All levels – 16+ years
Requirements
Students can bring their own materials, we suggest the following to begin with;
- Charcoal
- A range of soft pencils: 2B, 4B, 6B
- Hard rubber & putty rubber
- Masking tape
- News print paper is provided but you may wish to try other types of paper or bring a large (A2 size) sketch pad
We will have some materials available to use on the day.
