Enjoy a day on cutting and producing a one colour Lino( relief printing ) and engraving a small Dry point (intaglio printing )
We will look at the dynamics of black-and-white design and the use of negative and positive shape and its relation to your designs
We will also experiment with colour on a one cut Lino and explore to tone effects.
There will be an introduction to Drypoint where you will produce a small print this is a much more linear process and can result in very delicate and illustrative work.
Our tutor, Amanda, will show you how you can frame and mount your finished prints and how to make your very own greetings cards from your prints .
All equipment and materials will be provided, but you can bring a Pencil , pen and your enthusiasm! A selection of images that inspire you, no worries if you don’t have anything, Amanda will provide a variety of images and resources.
Pleas wear suitable clothing as print can be messy
Suitable for all adults, including experienced print makers and those with no print experience.
All print materials for the day will be supplied, we suggest you bring an apron or shirt to protect your clothes.
