Description
Sunday 26th July
9:30 – 12:30
Welcome to a workshop that takes its inspiration from the wonderful later works of Henri Matisse. After a lifetime of working with paint and many other mark makers, Matisse spent his latter years working in collage from paper chosen and coloured to his specifications and with a large pair of tailors shears. The results are found throughout our world today and seem as fresh as the day created.
We will work with similar shapes and forms which were inspired by the natural world and explore the power of considered compositions and learn through trial and error which collage lends itself to beautifully.
