Description
Wednesday 14th August
10:00 – 16:00
Maximum 6 Students
Welcome to this one day course in printmaking which will run from 10:00am to 4:00pm with refreshment and a lunch break. Teas and coffee along with snacks are available for purchase but please bring along your own lunch. The day will include two main elements. We will start the day by learning to monoprint from natural forms that will be supplied but if you have any natural forms or surfaces like embossed wallpaper and lace that you would like to experiment with please bring them along.
We will use printer’s ink and learn the correct process for this wonderfully experimental printing technique. You will need to bring along a roll of greaseproof paper in order to safely transport your work home in. Aprons are available but if you have an apron or art shirt bring along. In the afternoon we will continue to work with monoprint but now use it as a drawing process where we will work from observation or reference and create a number of drawings.
